Overview

Our client’s Food Safety & Quality Assurance team in Europe had a great tool for assessing the complexity of their projects. The problem was that it was built in Excel. With Excel comes problems that we see all too often – lack of visibility, lack of standardisation and lack of governance.

Based on a series of questions, users could use the tool to make a quick assessment on the potential complexity of a pipeline project.

Over a 3 month period, Jellyhaus transformed this tool into a web-based application which now provides regional and international level visibility of pipeline project complexity across the foods and beverage businesses. Admin users have full edit capability of the complexity questions and the complexity weighting that they carry.

Once initiated, users can create, share and view timelines of their new projects with their colleagues, transforming the initial Excel prototype into a truly global, collaborative tool. As a key delivery partner for our client – Global Leader in Convenient Foods & Beverages – for many web-based custom applications and business tools, we are able to leverage this to connect many of these tools to each other through our proprietary API. Users of the Innovation Briefing Tool are able to automatically see data from a project’s complexity without leaving the system.
