Overview

OneSchool Global is one of the world’s largest school groups. With over 9,500 students, over 120 campuses and over 2,000 staff and volunteers operating across 20 countries, OneSchool’s global education ecosystem provides an environment in which our staff and students thrive.

After a successful rebuild of their campus website network, OneSchool (formally Focus Learning Trust) approached us to tackle the admin-heavy process of school publication/textbook ordering for their UK campuses. Previously, campus administrators would request publications to a central admin team via email or phone. The central admin team would then place manual orders with the respective publishers.

The custom ordering system now automates this process. The approved publication catalogue is managed centrally. New publications are added via a single ISBN reference. Our system then queries the global publications database via an API to return the publication details including images. Campuses can then order these publications. Orders go directly to the publishers and distributors therefore hugely reducing the administrative burden for the central team. Campuses and schools are also able to request a publication to be added to the database – the school admin team can then just simply approve that.

Following the successful release, we have also added a second module for eLearning courses where campuses can order and purchase training for their students.
