Overview

Gordons Property Lawyers look after the legal side of residential property sales, purchases and remortgage. They are one of the country’s largest conveyancers of remortgages, property sales and property purchases. Jellyhaus have developed a bespoke Case Management System to assist GPL and their case handling team process the 100s of remortgaging applications they receive daily. The fully automated workflow process has reduced the average case handling time by over 50%.

In what was previously a manual process, the custom conveyancing system – G:PortL – will take the details uploaded as part of the daily case batch, automatically search the Land Registry database, extract the property register (deeds) and determine the legal activities that need to take place for that case. Once the activities have been identified and verified by a case handler, the customer is notified and they are able to log in and enter all the required documentation via the customer portal.

As part of these custom-designed, automated workflows, the system can handle notification of Charge Parties, generate letters to manage restrictions and automatically add appropriate fees to the case. All the while, the customer can track the progress of their case in the secure portal.

Before completion, the G:PortL system will calculate all the fees for the case and create a completion statement, detailing any surplus or shortfall for the customer. The case cannot complete until accounts and restrictions have been handled. This vastly reduces the risk of expensive human error and increases productivity and most importantly, customer service ratings.
